About // Pool Sessions: On tour

“Pool Sessions: On tour” is a music and film project that lets the viewer experience the wonderful west coast of Sweden – along with talented artists. We simply record artists as they perform live on idyllic locations throughout the province of Halland.

In the summer of 2011 Swedish film maker Jonas Börjesson came up with the idea of filming and redording artists by his parents’ swimming pool. Soon our project was in full swing and numerous indie bands went to the lovely Swedish coastal town of Halmstad to be a part of the “Pool Session-family”.

Swedish media took an interest in the project and quite quickly these sessions became an internet sensation. When summer turned to autumn the recordings ended up as a CD-compilation of sixteen great tracks, all recorded live aorund the pool at Frösakull, Halmstad.

The summer of 2012 is drawing near and we have decided to leave the pool. This time we are going to travel all around the province of Halland to record new sessions on idyllic locations around the fantastic west coast of Sweden.

With three cameras and a pair of stereo microphones our idea is to make beautiful acoustic sessions, and since we’re not using any electricity it will be totally friendly to the environment.
